Why measuring our carbon footprint is important for the sustainability of your money and the world we live in.
As part of our work to further embed responsible investing across our IMA, SJP recently released the Portfolio Carbon Emissions Report for Q3 2020.
This third edition explores how St. James’s Place is managing its operational carbon emissions and includes the carbon footprint of our new InRetirement range.
Why Are We Reporting on the Carbon Footprint of our Portfolios?
To help our clients achieve financial wellbeing in a world worth living in, we need to be transparent on the carbon footprint of our portfolios. Therefore, these quarterly reports will allow you to better understand how our Portfolios compare to the equivalent benchmark so you can understand more about the sustainability of our investment proposition.
Rob Gardner, Director of Investments, explains why this report is an important step forward for St. James’s Place,
“Climate change is the biggest risk we face as a planet over the few decades, and we really believe in responsible investment. We think about environmental. social and governance factors into all our decision making, and it’s so important that we measure our carbon footprint. This is a key step in our long-term commitment to addressing climate change and working with our clients to be a force for good.”
