Financial Peace of Mind
What is Financial Wellbeing?
Financial wellbeing is having peace of mind that you have a plan for your future, based on your individual goals, needs and lifestyle. It should give you the confidence that your future, and the future of your loved ones, is mapped out and that you have the support when needed to adjust the plan for any thing life throws at you. In order to achieve a sense of financial wellbeing, every individual must examine what they want their life to be like, how they want to live, and what choices they need to make now and in the future.
How is Financial Wellbeing related to the workplace?
Many employers are aware that it is paramount to support the mental health and physical wellbeing of their staff, and they are already taking steps to accomplish this. However, we believe that for this to be fully effective, they need to achieve a complete approach, which includes supporting their employee’s financial wellbeing.
Employers are now increasingly putting in place financial education seminars or round-table discussions to help their employees understand the issues in today’s economic climate. Financial wellbeing is significant – we believe that it is no longer a ‘nice to have’, but a necessary component for the overall wellbeing of employees and thus, the continued success of the business.
At Oakway we work with employers to create a tailored Workplace Financial Wellbeing program. We deliver this as part of our commitment to improving Financial Wellbeing and Education. The program consists of workshops and one-on-ones and can be delivered fully remote or at socially distanced workplaces.
